Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells…..

Well Christmas is almost here, so how will you be making your valued customers feel like family?

I wanted to share with you some ideas around that. I actually believe this can be applied at any time of the year but heightens around Christmas – the time of giving.

Spend quality time with them! Yes, go and spend a day with your valued customer. See how they spend a typical day and shadow them to learn about their business, what issues they face daily so you can better understand them. You will learn so much and possibly find ways you can assist further.

A simple thank you can go a long way and we often do it initially but as a business it’s best to say it over and over again. I was taught to have good manners and it goes a long way in both personal and business. Check in with your customers and not only thank them for their business but ask them how things are going and what else you could be doing to keep them happy.

Set a challenge, yep, you heard right. Challenge your customers to challenge you to come up with “out there” ideas/services/solutions. It may sound crazy but if they are open to very different and radical ideas that go against the grain, magic can happen. We love this and have clients that not only challenge us, but come forward with possible business ideas that we then need to match with radical marketing.

It’s strange but these types of clients start to entwine both personal and business relationships. Why? Well, from our perspective, we feel connected and the more you feel comfortable and at ease, it becomes easier to create that “family” feeling and strengthen the business relationships.

So start planning your thanks and quality time, Christmas is just around the corner!

I’ll be sitting here waiting for a thank you, challenge or simply an invite to spend some quality time with you.
